One NFL team wheel for all 32 clubs
The NFL Team Wheel is a random NFL team generator you can watch. Every club sits on the wheel as one equal slice, so each spin gives the Chiefs, the Jaguars and everyone in between the same 1 in 32 chance.
Use the NFL team wheel to pick a team for a Madden franchise, deal out teams at a watch party, or settle which game to follow this Sunday. Narrow the field to a conference or division, leave out the teams you do not want, and switch between normal, elimination and tally modes.
How the NFL team wheel works
Three steps and nothing to set up. The NFL team wheel starts with all 32 teams, so you can spin first and fine-tune later.
- 1
Choose your teams
Start with all 32, or tap AFC, NFC or a single division. Switch single teams off to leave out your own club or the ones you have already used.
- 2
Pick a mode
Normal lets teams repeat, elimination takes each pick off the wheel, and tally keeps score of every pick.
- 3
Spin and read the result
The pick is drawn the moment you press Spin, and the wheel turns to show it. Copy the team name, or spin again.
Three ways to spin the NFL team wheel
Pick the mode that fits the game you are playing, and switch whenever you like.
Normal
Every spin starts from the same list, so a team can come up again. It is the simplest mode, and the right one for a single pick.
Best for: One-off picks, Madden franchises, quick debates
Elimination
Each pick leaves the wheel until you restart the round, so the odds rise for the teams that are left. When one team remains, it is picked outright.
Best for: Team draws, 32-team tours, turn order
Tally
Teams stay on the wheel while a scoreboard counts every pick in the session. Spin as often as you like and watch the counts build.
Best for: Challenges, demos, lessons on chance
All 32 teams on the NFL team wheel
The NFL has 32 clubs: 16 in the AFC and 16 in the NFC, in eight divisions of four. Tap a division to spin only those teams.

A fair NFL team wheel: same odds for every team
Each team is one entry. Your selection sets the field, and chance picks the team.
- Picked before the wheel moves
- Pressing Spin draws the result first, with your browser’s cryptographic random generator. The animation shows it; it cannot change it.
- No favorites
- The NFL team wheel knows nothing about standings, ratings, fan bases or schedules. Every team on it counts exactly once.
- Odds follow your selection
- With 16 teams on the wheel each has a 1 in 16 chance, with one division 1 in 4. Elimination raises the odds for whoever is left.
- A spin is not a prediction
- It cannot pick winners, rank teams or tell you how a season will go, and it is not meant for betting.
How your selection changes the odds
Elimination, starting from all 32
- 1 in 32
- 1 in 31
- 1 in 30
- …
- 1 in 3
- 1 in 2
- 1 in 1
Every pick shrinks the field by one team. The last team is picked outright.
Under the hood: crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, so no team near the top of the list is favored.
Ways to use the NFL team wheel
Pick a setup, load it into the NFL team wheel with one tap, and spin for a random NFL team.
Madden and franchise runs
Starting a new franchise and cannot settle on a club? Spin the NFL team wheel once and commit. Spin again each offseason, or for every new save, so no two runs feel the same.

The 32-team tour
Play a season, a game or a draft with every club, one at a time. Elimination mode removes each team once it has come up, so the tour ends exactly when the round is complete.

Team draw for friends
Hand each guest a team before kickoff, or run a friendly pool where everyone spins for a club. Elimination mode makes sure nobody ends up with the same team twice.

Division showdown
Four friends, four clubs. Spin one division in elimination mode, then play a mini round robin with the teams you drew, or watch the real rivalry together.

Root for whoever the wheel picks, spin live for your viewers, or plan a series with a different team each time. Tally keeps score across the whole season.

Trivia nights and new fans
Not sure whose game to watch this Sunday? Use the wheel as an NFL team picker: narrow it to a conference, spin, and find out about the team that comes up. Quiz hosts and teachers can use the same spin as a prompt.
